So, stuck at home. Well, not completely stuck. I was able to get out for an hour while I took my dog Holly for a 3-mile walk. It was pretty quiet out there, not much traffic. In fact, it was kinda eerie.
I haven’t gone out much at all in the last few days. Luckily I can do that since I’m retired. I went to the grocery store on Thursday morning and literally missed the Great Buying Panic surge that the Tangerine Dingleberry created the night before by literally minutes.
But other than taking Holly out for her daily walks and making a quick stop by my brother’s (no hugs, no kisses) to drop off goodies, I’ve been at home. Just me, my husband and my dog. It’s starting to get a bit boring.
Seems whenever I start getting restless, what I really want to do is make food. Normally I try to make stuff that conforms to my diet. Alas, sometimes I get the urge to make something definitely NOT on my diet.
Yeah, I ate one. Or two. (Don’t judge — my brothers got 6 of ‘em).
Today I decided to make beef cabbage rolls. Can’t believe how long it takes to make those suckers, but time to spare is what I’ve got right now. I can throw the leftovers in the freezer, unlike the cinnamon rolls, which didn’t last long enough to freeze.
I suppose I could do some cleaning, but … nah!
The debate is on tonight but somehow I can’t get into it. Maybe I’ll spend the evening working on genealogy. Thank gawd there’s a lot of material online to keep me occupied.
Maybe tomorrow I’ll start cleaning up the yard.
So, that’s what I’m doing (or planning to do).
What are y’all doing? Anything interesting? At least, more interesting than what I’ve got going on?
